Recruiting Programs

Providing applicants and the public with the tools and information needed for a career with the EPS

Run with Recruiters

Free for anyone to attend! (18 and over). Run with Recruiters is a program EPS has been hosting for over ten years. Attendees can connect 1 on 1 with an EPS Officer, and can expect the following at a free session:

  • Test your fitness level in a program that mirrors recruit training!

  • Receive feedback and more info on a policing career

  • Participate in an encouraging environment (with a chance for prizes!)

  • Ask questions & chat with EPS Officers and other participants

Recruit Mentoring Academy

The recruit mentoring academy is designed to assist select applicants currently in the process to improve and build on their existing skills. EPS works closely with applicants to achieve a high success rate on those needing a bit of help through the application process itself.

The program allows both applicants and the EPS to determine if the career is right for you. If you have questions, feel free to contact us below to learn more about the program.

Information Session

Free for anyone to attend! Our Information Sessions provide the basics on what you need to know. EPS Officers cover the following:

  • Application process & tips for applying

  • Career options, overview and what you can expect

  • Salary, career and wellness benefits

  • Ask questions & chat with EPS Officers

APCAT Entrance Exam

The Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test (APCAT) is a provincially mandated exam. Participants are encouraged to have successfully passed the written exam before working on your online application as the next step in the recruiting process.

We offer weekly testing at our Recruiting office.
